How this 7-day Berlin plan works

Berlin + Potsdam + clubbing weekend

Each day below is grouped geographically so you spend your time in Berlin rather than in transit. BVG's U-Bahn (subway), S-Bahn (suburban rail), trams and buses form Europe's densest transit web; 24h ABC ticket (covers BER airport) is €10.60, AB ticket (central) is €10.06. The FEX airport express and S9/S45 link BER to central Berlin in 30–45 min. Bike infrastructure is excellent; Berlin is largely flat.

  Day 1–4 — Full Berlin classics.

• Day 2

  Day 5 — Potsdam day trip (Sanssouci, Cecilienhof).

• Day 3

  Day 6 — Neukölln food + natural-wine crawl.

• Day 4

  Day 7 — Clubbing (Berghain / Sisyphos / About Blank) Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Where to base yourself

• Mitte

  Museum Island, Brandenburg Gate, boutique hotels — the postcard historic core.

• Prenzlauer Berg

  Café-lined Altbau streets, family-friendly, brunch and boutique shopping.

• Kreuzberg

  Turkish-German food scene, Görlitzer Park, street art and nightlife along the canal.

• Neukölln

  Multi-cultural, third-wave coffee, natural wine and the trendiest independent restaurants.

Best time to run this itinerary

May–September delivers long days, biergarten culture and open-air festivals (18–26°C). December is atmospheric with Christmas markets across every district. November–February is cold (−2–5°C) and grey but the museum-and-club season peaks with the cheapest rates.
