  Day 7 — Prague (Old Town + Castle + Charles Bridge) + departure.

  Opera + Andrássy shopping mile + Heroes' Square — Ritz-Carlton, Aria, Callas House.

Best time to run this itinerary

April–June + September–October for warm days, riverside dining and Wine + Sparkling festivals. July–August hot (30–35°C) — pool + Sziget festival season. December for Advent markets at Vörösmarty + St Stephen's Basilica. January–February coldest (below zero) but thermal baths best in snow.

Before you go

• Avoid 'gentlemen's clubs' near Váci utca — bill scams of €500+ enforced by bouncers.

• Use Bolt or Főtaxi — never street-flagged taxis (meter tampering).

• Buy bath tickets online in high season — Széchenyi + Gellért queues can exceed 1h.
