Pyramids and old Cairo
Each day below is grouped geographically so you spend your time in Cairo rather than in transit. Rideshare (Uber and Careem) is the easiest way to get around and avoids taxi negotiations. The metro is cheap and links downtown and Giza. Traffic is heavy — allow generous transfer times.

Best time to run this itinerary
October–April brings pleasant 18–28°C days. Summer is very hot (35°C+) and dusty — early-morning pyramid visits are essential. Ramadan hours shift restaurant timings; check dates before booking.
