KTX high-speed rail from Seoul Station: Busan (~2h30), Gwangju (~1h50), Gangneung (~2h). SRT high-speed from Suseo Station.

K-ETA requires arrival card via Q-code portal; PortPass biometrics speed re-entry.

US, UK, EU, Japan, Australia and Canada enter visa-free 30–90 days; K-ETA electronic authorisation currently WAIVED through end 2025 for 22 nationalities (check before travel).

Getting into the city

Seoul's subway is the world's most-used — 23 lines, English announcements, Wi-Fi throughout, ₩1,400–2,400 per ride. T-money card (₩4,000 at any 7-Eleven) taps for subway, buses, taxis and convenience stores. Kakao T is the local Uber. Incheon Airport: AREX Express to Seoul Station in 43 min (₩11,000); regular AREX in 60 min (₩4,750).
