Best time to run this itinerary

May–October dry cool ideal (5–25°C, no dust, wildlife concentrates at waterholes). April + November shoulder — warm, some rain. December–March hot rainy (30–38°C, muddy roads, most dramatic sky but harder self-drive). Dunes any season; Etosha best May–October.
