Sedona + Grand Canyon: how to combine
Grand Canyon South Rim is 2 hr 15 min north of Sedona via SR-89A and I-40. Combine as a 5-6 day Arizona loop: 2 nights Sedona + 1 night South Rim + 2 nights back in Sedona.
Antelope Canyon (Page) and Horseshoe Bend are 2.5 hr further north — add a night in Page for the classic Page-canyon-photography detour.
Book South Rim lodges (El Tovar, Bright Angel Lodge) 6+ months out for peak season (April-October). Best value: stay in Tusayan, 7 min outside the South Entrance.
Alternative: Grand Canyon Airlines and Papillon fly SEZ (Sedona airport) directly to the Grand Canyon for day trips.
Getting there and around
Fly into PHX Phoenix Sky Harbor (2 hr drive north). Direct from every major US city and long-haul European hubs.
Alternative: FLG Flagstaff (45 min drive south to Sedona) — smaller, more expensive.
